There are a number of development opportunities available for coaches, umpires and athletes throughout the year.
- TDS Instruction
The first is the RDNA Talent Development Squad (TDS). This program runs from February
through to June each year and involves athletes, coaches, umpires and team managers.
The second athlete/ coach development program is the Junior Development program
held in June. This runs for 4 weeks and the target group is 11 year old athletes and club coaches.
For 10 weeks of our winter season Fun Net is conducted for 6 and 7 year olds. This program focuses on motor skills and coordination as well as providing an introduction to the sport of netball and the basic skills required. This is coordinated and run by the association.
The RDNA also has 3 umpiring squads available. Junior , Intermediate and Senior Squads. As a member of these squads ongoing coaching is offered to the participants to assist them in their progression along the Umpire pathway.
