RDNA GENERAL NOTICES

TEAM FEE (COURT HIRE COST)

Team Fees are payable to the MBSC (Canteen): Seniors $35.00/team

Before the commencement of all games. Juniors $25.00/team

REGISTRATIONS

All players must be registered and financial before taking the court. (Affiliation forms maybe handed and clubs will be invoiced accordingly).

Teams playing unregistered players will incur a loss of 2 championship points.

FIXTURES

Please read your fixtures carefully to ensure you are aware of general byes etc. Any errors or concerns regarding the fixtures are to be forwarded to the Secretary (9527 9900 or rdna@bigpond.com).

SCORECARDS

The team mentioned first on the fixture needs to collect the scorecard from the desk. Scorecards are to be filled out correctly and entirely or 2 points will be deducted from the team at fault. The scorecard procedure is as follows:

  • Fill in first and last names of all players taking the court (no abbreviations). Writing must be legible.
  • The opposing team to complete their part of the scorecard and return it to the home team to score.
  • Any players who are playing up a grade or on a Single Game Voucher ($10.00 from RDNA Office) are to be clearly indicated in the box provided.
  • Scorers are to keep record of the centre passes in the boxes required to assist the umpire if required.
  • Upon completion of each quarter the score is to be recorded in the boxes provided.
  • At the completion of the game, the captains and umpires must sign the scorecard in the spaces provided. The scorecard to be returned to the desk by winning team. In the case of a drawn game the first team on the board shall return the scorecard to the desk.

BEFORE GAME

  • Team Captains are to conduct a toss for either first centre pass or choice of goal end. They are to report result to both umpires.
  • NO Jewellery is to be worn – No taped ears/earrings. A taped wedding band and medical alerts are the only exceptions.
  • Fingernails are to be kept short and no sharp ornaments are to be worn in hair. Gloves are only permitted with a medical certificate. Type of gloves to be approved by RDNA committee.
  • NO chewing gum.
  • Payment of team fees are payable to MBSC (Canteen) prior to commencement of game.

UMPIRES

All Senior Competition Umpires

Prior to the commencement of any senior games Paid Dockets (from MBSC) must be sighted.

Please fill in the best and fairest vote when signing the scorecard.

All teams except for Senior A1 are required to provide an umpire. All team umpires will officiate at the game of their corresponding team. See Umpires Development Officer (9527 9900 or rdna@bigpond.com) for umpiring concerns, however the AUDO will not assign or arrange umpires for teams. Teams failing to provide umpires will receive a $20 fine and loss of 2 championship points.

OFFICE PIGEON HOLES

Each club has been allocated a pigeon hole inside the RDNA office. These are to be checked on a regular basis for notices etcetera

GENERAL MEETINGS

The RDNA holds General Meetings throughout the year please check the notice board for upcoming meetings, our Web site www.rdna.com.au or please consult your club delegates.

MINUTES

Meeting minutes can now be emailed. Club email addresses are to be forwarded/emailed to the Secretary at: email: rdna@bigpond.com

UNIFORMS

Registered players are to be in club uniform before they take the court. New players are given two playing dates before uniform is compulsory however a netball skirt must be worn. No bike pants are to be visible below the hemline of the skirt and the color is to be black or navy blue.

FORFEITS

JUNIOR TEAMS:

The team captain must make a notification of forfeit to an RDNA official as well as a member of the opposing team at least 2 hours prior to the game. If this is not adhered to a fine of $25.00 (payable to the RDNA before the next round of the fixture) will apply and the offending team will incur a loss of 3 championship points. The captain of the non-forfeiting team must arrive to complete the scorecard for points to be allocated. Messages left on the answering machine are NOT acceptable as notification of forfeit.

SENIOR TEAMS:

Senior Teams Please note: The forfeit team must pay the sum of $50.00 to the MBSC (canteen) for loss of revenue. This sum is payable before the next round of the competition.

DRAWING-UP PLAYERS FROM LOWER GRADES

As per RDNA By-Laws Section Five Conduct of Matches Paragraph (xii); “A club which enters two or more teams in the Association, may transfer players from their lower grade to play in teams no more than two grades higher, until the said players have played three times in the higher grade, hence they automatically become members of that grade; with the exception that clubs cannot bring up players from the Saturday Junior Competition to play in the Monday night competition”.

FUN NET

Fun Net is run at 8:00am on court 3. This hall will be closed to everybody except for participants and spectators from 7:45am to 9:00am. No teams are permitted to enter the hall for warming up/congregation/etc until Fun Net has concluded at 9:00am sharp. This is to ensure the safety of the FUN NET participants.


MEMBER ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIPS – GENERAL BYE

There will be no general netball on Saturday the 5th of June. This is the MAC long weekend so our Representative teams will be playing at the Perth Netball Association home ground. The RDNA welcomes and encourages spectators – so see you all there.
