Grading Policy
All teams will be paper graded from the team lists submitted by the clubs. Paper grading will be executed with the following guidelines;
- Age
- · Experience
- · Club recommendations/requests
For a team list to be considered valid there must be a minimum of five names on the team sheet.
The first three scheduled rounds will be for the purpose of grading;
- · Teams will play two half games each week
- · A weekly fixture will be placed on the RDNA website
- · There may be time differences in the third week so the grading committee can place teams under review in one or more different divisions.
At the completion of the third week teams will be allocated to a division – the decision of the grading committee is final and changes will not be permitted. Fixtures will be generated and will appear on the RDNA website.
Competition ladders – in the event of a division incurring uneven rounds due to a bye in their division the rounds played and points accrued in the early part of the season will be ignored.
Where a division has even rounds, ie no bye, no adjustments will be made to the ladder, as all participating teams have an equal opportunity to accrue points.
“Who has played who” is never a consideration in adjustment of ladders.
New registrations – All new registered players will be viewed by the grading committee. The committee will make a decision as to whether or not the newly registered player is suited to the division to which they have been placed by a club. In the event the grading committee deems the player to be competing in a division that is too low a standard for the player under review the club must relocate the player to a higher division. If the club has no team in a higher division then that player will not be permitted to continue playing in the team.
